Finnmark is Norway’s far north: a high open plateau of rivers and lakes, and a coast cut into fjords where sea trout run free, unquota’d and fishable year round. In May and June the sea trout are on the beaches, chrome bright and feeding hard. From July the inland water opens up, grayling and brown trout on the Finnmarksvidda, reached by road, by boat or by walking.
Our base is Alta, with Kautokeino and the plateau two hours inland. The guides are the people who live there and fish it when nobody is paying them to.
Alta has its own airport, with connections through Oslo and Tromsø. We pick you up.
